Eric Riego de Dios
Human Resources Director - Baker McKenzie Global Services Manila
Eric Riego de Dios is the People Director of Baker McKenzie's Manila Center. The center provides shared services support for more than 75 Baker offices across the globe. Eric has more than 20 years of HR experience with national, regional, and global leadership roles from different industry leaders such as DHL, Citi, Globe (SingTel), and IBM. He is a pioneer in the Shared Services industry having helped establish Citi’s first shared services center in the early 2000s. Aside from being the HR Head of GSM, he is also the lead for Talent Systems and Analytics for the Firm.
He has strong expertise in business partnership, talent management, organization development, and people analytics. He is a certified MBTI and DDI facilitator and a certified Strategic HR Business Partner. As an advocate of People Analytics, Engagement, and Wellness, he has been a keynote speaker in many occasions in Asia and Europe. He currently chairs the Global in-House Center Council (GICC) HR Committee and the IT & Business Process Association of he Philippines (IBPAP) Capability Building Committee.
Eric is a recognized and awarded project manager and people leader. Among the awards he received are the Globe Excellence Award for Project Management, IBM HR Partnering for Project Diamond, PMAP's Exemplar Award for People Management, and more recently one of the Philippines' Most Talented HR Leaders from the HR Congress. It is during his tenure that Baker McKenzie Global Services Manila won the Asia SSON Award for Culture Creation, the inaugural Asia CEO Award for Wellness, and the inaugural Philippine Best Employer Brand Awards for Shared Services while being a finalist in many other awards in the Philippines, Asia, and Europe. He has also played a key role in making the Manila Center visible in the Shared Services community, helping the centers earn a spot as one of the Top 20 Most Admired Shared Services Organizations in 2018.
Eric earned his degree from the University of the Philippines as the year’s top psychology graduate. Eric also has post-graduate education from ADMU, DLSU, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and Universidad Politecnica de Madrid. Eric also recently received an accreditation as Fellow in People Management by the People Management Association of the Philippines.
